Did you know a surcharge is charged for moving violations you get against your driving record and will stay on your record for three(3) years. points are assigned as follows:
Two (2) points for a Texas or out of state traffic violation conviction
Three (3) points for a Texas or out of state moving violation conviction that resulted in a crash.
A surcharge will be assesed when the driver accumulates a total of (6) six points or more on the driver record.
The driver in required to pay $100.00 surcharge for the first six (6) points and $25.00 for each poing after that.
Also
A surcharge is assesed for other convictions as follows:
Driving while intoxicated (DWI) $1,000 first offense
DWI subsequent Offense $1500
DWI w/blood alcohol cincentration of 0.16 or more $2,000
NO INSURANCE $250.00
Driving while license invalid $250
No license $100
